Two year anniversary, who this?

It's really amazing that I can write and have people write back to me, it blows my mind, sometimes.

Hello, hello. It's me again, just a day after receiving the last mail. Why am I here today? It's our two year anniversary! Make some noise, y'all!

The newsletter is sharing a birthday with the blog (my literary blog), so it's also the blog's anniversary.

I thought I would be able to write an anniversary post on the blog, but, um, I couldn't do it. It's so funny because I already had a draft, but it's not looking so good and there's honestly no need to rush it, so I just decided to leave it. I’ll probably just upload a late anniversary post on the blog when this semester is over.

Anyhoo, somewhere in the draft, I talked about how I'm really grateful that I got to push past the limits I set in my head for myself concerning this and just do it, that is, go ahead with starting the blog and newsletter.

The idea of starting a newsletter came sometime after the blog's idea, I basically just needed where I can talk about books and also talk about myself, and the funny thing is, then I thought it was a little selfish that all I just wanted was to create a platform where I can write about myself, but over time, I have learned to let go of that mindset, and see it in a whole different light. I think.

In last week's mail, I talked about Tres’ newsletter and there's this line from it that's in line with my experience running this newsletter and blog.

sometimes the purpose fattens up, acquires shape, and finds you while you're already in your way.

Like I said earlier, when I started, all I wanted to do was talk about books and myself, right? That was basically it and of course, it was pretty vague, there was no other thing to it, infact, you can say I didn't know exactly what I was doing or what I wanted, all I knew was that I wanted to write, but after running the newsletter for two years now, I have seen that it's more than that for me.

For me, it's about creating a community of people, people who can relate with what I'm saying and somewhere deep down, they can say “Grace goes through this thing”, “Grace sees me”, “Grace also experienced this”, etc. and then they can see that they are not so alone and we (humans) actually similar in more than one ways.

It's really amazing that I can write and have people write back to me, it blows my mind, and I'm glad we get to celebrate the two year anniversary together. Thank you for being here.

I was supposed to do a QnA, but I'm a heavy procrastinator and didn't start the draft for this newsletter on time, so I wouldn't able to do it today, so again, I'll probably do it when the semester ends.

Now onto the next part, what can I (you) do on Graceandbooks' anniversary?

It's simple, you can share the newsletter subscription link telling people about the newsletter and inviting them to subscribe.

You can also reply to mail letting me know your high-key moments from the newsletter, maybe a certain newsletter that you like or just something you enjoy about the newsletter.

Lastly, there's also the option of sending anniversary gifts and money (🤭), you can use my Selar link.

Once again, thank you for being here, I appreciate you (🫵🏾) and I'm glad you're here.

Bye! I'll be waiting to hear from you!
